Real Estate and Architecture Photography
With so many homes listed on Internet sites, it's important for your listings to have “virtual” curb appeal. Our highly trained photo enhancement artists can digitally:
- Perform color correction
- Lighten overly dark photos
- Intensify and saturate the colors of the lawn, house and landscaping
- Make virtual repairs to features that can be fixed
- Hide flaws, dirt or other small blemishes that detract
- Correcting structure lines distorted by your lense
- Perform virtual paint touch-ups
Clear, professional-looking photos of a home will drive interest, showings, and ultimately, buyers. Photofix's real estate photo enhancement service creates photos that bring in more leads and result in more sales.
As an agent, you know that photos don't always accurately represent what something looks like in person. Photofix can more closely approximate the real-life impression a piece of property can have on someone.
Real Estate Photo Tips
If you haven't taken your pictures yet, here are some tips for taking great house shots:
Wide angles create the widest interest. Capturing the house in its surroundings may be the single most important factor in getting buyers' interest. A photo that places the home in the context of its landscaping, surrounding trees and lawn is a photo that makes a good first impression.
How Photofix can help: If the composition of the photo is off, or if the photo is taken from too far away, we can crop, resize, or reposition the home to show off its best features. If the photo is too close, we can ensure that the features that are evident look their best.
Color catches attention. If you've ever seen a house on a cloudy day and compared it on a sunny one, you know that the right lighting can significantly alter the brightness or intensity of a home or landscape's color palette. Try to take the photo in the late morning or early evening on a sunny, clear day, when the lighting is as soft, even, and adequately bright as possible.
How Photofix can help: If the weather just wouldn't cooperate or you didn't have time to get the perfect picture, we can intensify the colors of the home, lawn, and landscaping and even brighten the photo to make it seem “sunnier.” If the day was just a little too sunny, we can minimize glare and “sun flare” on shiny or metallic surfaces. Also, if the paint is just a bit faded, we can revitalize the color and help the buyer visualize the potential in a fresh coat of paint!
Just the house, please. Many times, buyers feel uncomfortable seeing too many personal effects in the home, such as photos, trophies, unique décor, or other “lived-in” elements. Striking the right balance between cozy and “somebody else's house” is key. Try to remove the more obvious personal items from indoor photos or from the lawn and backyard if possible, while still maintaining a “homey” feel.
How Photofix can help: If the home has too many items to remove or if there just wasn't time, our service can remove, hide or cut unwanted items, frames, toys, or other personal belongings from the photo and create a cleaner, fresher, more uncluttered look. By removing these distractions, we can “stage” the house in the photo and help reveal the features that will attract buyers.
Thank you for using Photofix! We hope you'll think of us for all your real estate photography needs.
